The Gap Keeps Widening Between the Rich and the Poor

PREFACE – I have spent a lot of time thinking about the growing gap between the rich and the poor, and, I have known also for a long time that it’s not by accident. The elite plan to gobble up as much of the money as they can, and, they are succeeding. This is why I decided to join GWT (Global Wealth Trade), because, I realized that, since I cannot fight them, I might as well try to leap up to their level and join them. I don’t want to sink down to where the gap is so large that it cannot be bridged. GWT is an amazing company and the clients are the rich and powerful. If you want to join me, and climb the ladder of riches to to the next rung where the higher classes reside, please click here and I will help you get there. It’s easier than you think, but, time is limited. Join me now. Thank you. You may not continue on to read this very intriguing article I found on the net.

Inequality has widened due to the increasing concentration of political power among the corporate and financial elite that has been able to influence the rules by which the economy runs, the author writes. LUCAS JACKSON/REUTERS

This article first appeared on

You often hear inequality has widened because globalization and technological change have made most people less competitive, while making the best educated more competitive.

But this common explanation overlooks a critically important phenomenon: the increasing concentration of political power in a corporate and financial elite that has been able to influence the rules by which the economy runs.

As I argue in my new book, Saving Capitalism: For the Many, Not the Few (out this week), this transformation has amounted to a pre-distribution upward.

Intellectual property rights—patents, trademarks and copyrights—have been enlarged and extended, for example, creating windfalls for pharmaceutical companies. Americans now pay the highest pharmaceutical costs of any advanced nation.

At the same time, antitrust laws have been relaxed for corporations with significant market power, such as big food companies, cable companies facing little or no broadband competition, big airlines and the largest Wall Street banks. As a result, Americans pay more for broadband Internet, food, airline tickets and banking services than the citizens of any other advanced nation.

Bankruptcy laws have been loosened for large corporations—airlines, automobile manufacturers, even casino magnates like Donald Trump—allowing them to leave workers and communities stranded. But bankruptcy has not been extended to homeowners burdened by mortgage debt or to graduates laden with student debt. Their debts won’t be forgiven.

The largest banks and auto manufacturers were bailed out in 2008, shifting the risks of economic failure onto the backs of average working people and taxpayers.

Contract laws have been altered to require mandatory arbitration before private judges selected by big corporations. Securities laws have been relaxed to allow insider trading of confidential information. CEOs now use stock buybacks to boost share prices when they cash in their own stock options.

Tax laws have special loopholes for the partners of hedge funds and private-equity funds, special favors for the oil and gas industry, lower marginal income-tax rates on the highest incomes and reduced estate taxes on great wealth.

Meanwhile, so-called “free trade” agreements, such as the pending Trans Pacific Partnership, give stronger protection to intellectual property and financial assets but less protection to the labor of average working Americans.

Today, nearly one out of every three working Americans is in a part-time job. Many are consultants, freelancers and independent contractors. Two-thirds are living paycheck to paycheck.

And employment benefits have shriveled. The portion of workers with any pension connected to their job has fallen from just over half in 1979 to under 35 percent today.

Labor unions have been eviscerated. Fifty years ago, when General Motors was the largest employer in America, the typical GM worker, backed by a strong union, earned $35 an hour in today’s dollars.

Now America’s largest employer is Wal-Mart, and the typical entry-level Wal-Mart worker, without a union, earns about $9 an hour.

More states have adopted so-called “right-to-work” laws, designed to bust unions. The National Labor Relations Board, understaffed and overburdened, has barely enforced collective bargaining.

All of these changes have resulted in higher corporate profits, higher returns for shareholders and higher pay for top corporate executives and Wall Street bankers – and lower pay and higher prices for most other Americans.

They amount to a giant pre-distribution upward to the rich. But we’re not aware of them because they’re hidden inside the market.

The underlying problem, then, is not just globalization and technological changes that have made most American workers less competitive. Nor is it that they lack enough education to be sufficiently productive.

The more basic problem is that the market itself has become tilted ever more in the direction of moneyed interests that have exerted disproportionate influence over it, while average workers have steadily lost bargaining power—both economic and political—to receive as large a portion of the economy’s gains as they commanded in the first three decades after World War II.

Reversing the scourge of widening inequality requires reversing the upward pre-distributions within the rules of the market, and giving average people the bargaining power they need to get a larger share of the gains from growth.

The answer to this problem is not found in economics. It is found in politics. Ultimately, the trend toward widening inequality in America, as elsewhere, can be reversed only if the vast majority join together to demand fundamental change.

The most important political competition over the next decades will not be between the right and left, or between Republicans and Democrats. It will be between a majority of Americans who have been losing ground, and an economic elite that refuses to recognize or respond to its growing distress.

The Rich Keep Getting Richer, as the Poor…

I don’t mean to shed any doom and gloom here, but… the facts are the facts. The divide between the rich and the poor, or the “haves” and the “have nots” is ever widening. And, what does that turn out to mean in our lives? It means that we need to get to a point where we refuse to live in mediocrity and be held back from the success that we deserve and is our God-given right! We must realize that the “powers that be” fully intend on keeping the masses suppressed, “spinning their wheels” and going nowhere, or nearly nowhere, and, it’s all by their design. Are you a maverick or a member of the herd?
Playground University
Do you remember when you were a younger kid, and, you wanted to play in the “club house” or tree house, or special tent or special space that was reserved for the “VIP’s” (hehe), or the special members of your group of friends – usually the kids who had wealthier parents or more resources so they could have a special place? Remember how they would not let you in, because, it was a private club? Only once you would meet their conditions (usually acting superior…) of membership could you join the club, and be allowed admittance. And, once you were in, you would see a bunch of kids sitting in there, not doing much, but, they considered themselves somehow better than the rest of the world.
The adult world is pretty much the same. What “class” of people you identify with is who you will be accepted by, and, who you will attract in your realm. Also, the amount of “financial wellness” that you will achieve will also be very much in the range of the class that you have decided you belong to. These stiff rules – these parameters – apply to most everyone, but, on occasion, somebody “cracks the code” or somehow stumbles upon a very good idea and they become wealthy quite quickly, and often unexpectedly. Question, are you going to wait and see if you are lucky, and are you going to remain where you are now forever? Or, do you REALLY want to climb up the rung to the next step in that ladder of success?
There is the easy Road and the Hard Road
The problem is not that the hard road is a bad way to go, but, that the easy road gets you there more quickly and assuredly and time is money. We only have so much time, and the clock never stops ticking!
When it comes to easily reaching financial heights that you had only previously dreamed of requires a LEAP to the next level. You will most likely not achieve it by selling $5, $7 and $15 programs, unless you have incredible tenacity and a remarkable talent in networking and people skills. Yes, it can be done, but, it’s the harder road to get there. What is the easy road? Don’t expect me to tell you that any level of true success and achievement can be reached without focus, goals and hard work/decisive action… but, this I can tell you – To be like the higher class is to work with the higher class! They are in the club house, and, you are not. You must get a ticket in. You must get past the guards at their gate and the system they have in place to keep the “riff raff” out. How is that done? That’s the easy part. Offer something they want – something they crave – and act like you are one of them; one of their kind, so you understand what they like/need, how they want it, and present them with it. And, you will instantly gain their acknowledgment, their respect, AND their MONEY.
How is this EASILY done? Become a luxury designer goods consultant! These people need fancy stuff. It’s how they remember who they have become. High fashion designer clothing, jewelry and the like is their uniform and the way they identify each other. If you join my team at GWT (Global Wealth Trade), you would have the chance to dress like they do, every day, and, instantly get accepted into their club! Once in, you would simply help them to realize that they can have these fancy ultra-high quality merchandise, with your personal consultation and assistance, granting them their wishes and removing any inconvenience they would otherwise have had to “suffer” by going shopping at some high end store, taking up their valuable golfing time.
Is this expensive? No. Do you have to be special? No. Do you need big money to start to do this? No. All you need to do is to contact me, here on IBO Toolbox, and/or visit my website at and look at my corporate page at GWT has created more millionaires quicker than just about any other network marketing program. Why? Because, the rich have a LOT of money to spend, and they love to spend it! Forget the small time and spinning your wheels, unless you like to be stuck in the mud… JOIN GWT NOW!
You must at least be a bit curious about how you can take the shortcut to massive wealth and status, aren’t you? There’s no harm in clicking the above links and learning how YOU, yes… YOU can take the easy way to mass wealth and success. Thank you!

How to Eliminate Distractions for Achieving Your Goals

We all have our own set of goals we want to achieve. Goals we have been working on for months, years and maybe even more. Goals that we keep chipping away at but are not able to make the necessary dent in, to make an impact and complete them.

Despite all our late nights, early mornings and weekends of working in the perfect place, the precious timebox or updating our checklists – we simply cannot achieve the goals in front of us.

Are we not good enough?
Is our goal completely unrealistic?
Are we not sure what it is we are actually trying to do?

Perhaps. Maybe, it’s a combination of all of these put together and everything around us that keeps distracting us from our purpose, reducing our focus to the point where we can’t generate the internal focus and drive to accomplish what we want.

All those Notifications

If you want to hit the low hanging fruit – start here. We are bombarded, BOMBARDED, with notifications 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Years ago, when my computer prompted me for updates, I would get notified of them and later walk away – letting it update in peace and quiet. Now, I get them weekly to my phone, update this OS, download this app – constantly staring me in the face asking me to click update, constantly reminding me. Add to that mix all the emails and social media notifications and the buzzing gets even louder. Sure “some” of it is is important but when you are trying to focus on the task at hand, you don’t need that email from work or friend request coming in. You need to eliminate that distraction to the point where it cannot be easily overridden.

When I’m working on one of my important goals, I turn off my phone and throw it across the room. The throwing (perhaps, gentle placement is more realistic) is an important act. The goal is for it not to be in arms reach and if I feel the urge to check, I find myself feeling that pang of guilt of actually, consciously, making the decision to walk across the room to pick up my phone.

On the web, I’ve played with a few applications and have found Strict Workflow to be the best tool to help here. Strict Workflow is a Chrome extension that blocks your access through your Chrome browser based on a timer. When the timer is active you can’t access those sites, when you are on break you can. The only way to override the change once it is active is to uninstall the extension.

Uninstalling the extension is akin to walking across the room to pick up my phone. If I were to uninstall the program while it was active I would feel that pang of guilt again asking me, questioning me whether going onto Facebook was worth not achieving my goal. And the internal follow-up question to that?  Do you really not have 30 minutes to spend on this goal?

And I would figuratively hang my head in shame and mumble to myself – yes I do – and get back to it.

Guilt isn’t the greatest emotion in the world, but when it is used to get you back to what you need to be doing, it can be quite effective.

You are doing too much

Even after you’ve taken away all those distractions, you might start to find something still holding you back. It might be a subtle hold, perhaps more akin to a tug at your heart, it will come and go but will always be there… nagging you… pulling you down… holding you back… distracting you from your real purpose.

What is it?  One of your goals, maybe all of them?  Perhaps you have too much on the go?

This is the hard choice that many people struggle with, as we want to accomplish so much in our lives.  But we need to make hard choices to move forward in life and this sometimes involves dropping the goals that are holding us back. These are the secondary goals on our plate that we simply aren’t going to achieve.  I recently had to make this decision. I had a couple of technical blogs that were languishing. I had not been writing in one of them for a year. Every few weeks I would remind myself of this fact to the point where it would become this 30 – 45 min conversation about how I could do it, what would I write about, where would I find the time, etc, etc, but then never do anything.

So I removed the distractions.

I deleted both blogs about 3 weeks ago. I could have kept them up and running for the next 6 months, but I chose to take them down immediately. Out of mind, out of sight. At first, I was sad, feeling as though I had failed. But a week later, those distractions were no longer consuming me, I didn’t think about them anymore and my time, energy, and focus were directed towards where it needed to be – on the goals I really wanted to focus on.

The Duality of Opportunities

Isn’t it a great feeling when someone you don’t know has seen your work and says – “Hey, saw your work, can we have lunch or would you be able to help on this project or can you do this presentation with us, etc, etc” – so many great feelings start to churn through you at that point in time. I love that feeling, it’s a feeling of validation and acceptance in all that you are doing and gives you such an incredible push. But like any sword, opportunities also have a double-edge to them. Sure it’s great to be acknowledged, but if that project is too big, not in line with where you want to be focusing your time or simply too big of an undertaking – walk away.

Taking control of your distractions involves making tough decisions. You can’t do it all, no matter how hard you try, you can’t. So sometimes we have to be picky with what we choose to do and the opportunities we take. You don’t have to be rude about it, but you do have, to be honest with yourself about it.

Pick the opportunities which are most aligned to your goals, toss the rest.

There are some uncomfortable feelings here – frustration, guilt, forced loss – that you need to deal with when taking control of your distractions. The answers are not always easy and can involve some deep soul-searching on what you truly want to accomplish.

Deleting all the games and unnecessary apps from your phone, that’s easy, but turning down opportunities or generating that feeling of guilt when start to waiver are feelings we don’t generally lean towards. If you are serious about achieving your goals – not only achieving but surpassing them – then you need to take control of what is holding you back.

Because if you don’t, if you let them run rampant when you do realize it’ll be too late and you’ll know, in a heartbeat, that the feelings you have at that point in time (of not having met your goals) are infinitely worse than what you would have felt if had taken control of them from the beginning.

Are You Unconsciously AFRAID of Success?

YOU – yes, YOU, who are reading this may be afraid of success. WHAT? How can I say that about somebody who is trying to be independently successful and one who is attempting to generate their own income? Perhaps you can handle a little bit of success, but, you’d be surprised how many people fear epic success… Let’s find out if maybe part of the reason you are not MORE successful is because you have an underlying fear of reaching super high levels of success… Answer honestly, do you exhibit any of the following behaviors?

Behaviors of Success-Fearing People:

  • You don’t complete your projects (this could be at work or at home).
  • You talk about what you are going to do more than what you actually do.
  • You work furiously on several projects at once, not really focusing deeply on any one of them.
  • You still have exactly the same things on your vision board that were there five years ago.
  • You second-guess yourself often.
  • Distraction is your middle name.
  • You don’t think your work is ever quite good enough.
  • And the big giveaway… you’re on the verge of ‘success’ and things start going really wrong.

What to Do if You Have a Fear of Success

All of the above are classic symptoms of the fear of success. It’s not that you don’t want to be successful, because you’ve probably been working your butt off and spending plenty of late nights planning, thinking and strategizing. The truth is: if success doesn’t come easily to you then, subconsciously, there’s a part of you that doesn’t want success. And your subconscious is running what you do up to 95% of the time, so it’s important we take a look at this at a deeper level.

3 Subconscious Fears Related To Success That You Might Have and What To Do About Them

1. Fear of Appearing To Be Unspiritual

“It’s easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” “Rich people are greedy.” “It is better to give than to receive.” These are little sayings that popped into my brain the minute I penned the words “Fear of appearing to be unspiritual.”

I’m thinking this must obviously be one I’ve struggled with!

Our relationship with money and spirituality has always been complicated. Actually, money is more like a symbol: a symbol for what we want, what we don’t want, what we get, what we can’t get, what we’d give away, what we’d hold on to tightly, what we’d do anything for, what we would never do. In short, money has a tightly woven and complicated relationship with our integrity.

‘Sell-out’, ‘over-ambitious’, ‘selfish’, ‘up-herself’ and ‘shallow’ are a few labels we have an avid fear of when we have an underlying fear of appearing to be unspiritual.

What to do:

You’re not going to be everyone’s ‘cup of tea’. Not everyone will like you. There will never be a time when everyone likes you… ever. Accept it! It doesn’t matter how good or how kind you are. Instead, focus on who you want to serve and why; whether it’s at home, in your business or in the community.

Get clear on what you are willing to give of yourself. Tithing is a spiritual practice that many successful people follow. It involves donating a percentage of your income, usually 10%, back to a religious organization or charity. You can also tithe your time and energy through allocating an amount of time to other people without the desire to get anything in return.

In other words, maintain your integrity by giving freely on a regular basis.

2. Fear of Standing Out

The fear of standing out can bring you to your knees. In the past I had a ton of brilliant ideas that would have helped me stand out more online, but I didn’t execute them. Do you know why? I told myself it was because I didn’t want the attention. Or all the hard work was not worth the effort.

The biggest truth was that I was afraid to be extraordinary. Blending in with the crowd is easy. It means not dealing with rejection or worrying about the possibility of making someone else feel inadequate.

What to do:

Read this quote by Marianne Williamson. Every time you read it, you’ll feel like you just got schooled!

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

(It is only fair to say that Marianne Williamson gets her inspiration from the book “A Course in Miracles,” and she has become famous by finding easy ways to regurgitate ACIM’s intense teachings.)

There are all sorts of Ninja mind tricks you can use to overcome the fear of standing out, whether it’s for public-speaking or simply just speaking your mind. One of my favorite things to do is use the words ‘even though’. Simply say, “Even though [insert the situation and how you feel], I’m open to/happy to [insert how you want to feel].” For example: “Even though I have to give this talk in front of the class and I’m embarrassed, I’m open to giving a brilliant talk and feeling good about it.”

Now, just be awesome!

3. The Fear of Change

Change is a natural, organic part of life. Nothing really stays the same, but the thing is, it can feel like it does.  Especially, when it comes to the ins and outs of your life from day to day.

Success by its very nature means you now have or do or are experiencing something different. Something you didn’t have before. And the Catch-22 is that we really want this change on one level, but on another level it could scare the crap out of you!

The thing is, when we fail at something we know what to expect. We’re already used to living the way we do. On the other hand, success can be scary because it brings uncharted territory. Imagine if you’ve been overweight your whole life. What might it be like to be slim for the first time ever? How would a ‘slim you’ dress? How would a ‘slim you’ behave? How would it be for a “slim you” to hang out with?

What about creating a business that brings in so much money that it’s easy to share with and give to others. Yikes! You spend so much of your time juggling bills right now, can you even imagine what new habits you might have if you were rich? Would you suddenly be more wasteful? Would your children be ungrateful?

What about a relationship starting or ending? Or moving?

Change can be amazing or frustrating or liberating or scary. Quite often it’s tedious, character-building work. It’s also inevitable, so the things is, we should probably choose what we really want!

What to do:

If change is inevitable (and it is), then the first thing to do is to begin the process of getting absolutely clear on what you want. Write a description of the life you really want, without judgment. Just let it pour out onto the paper.

Next gather a great support system around you. This could be sharing your vision of your life with someone you love and trust, joining a Facebook group of people who are going for the same goal, investing in a mentor, or reading a really good book that resonates with the description of the life you really want.

If you have a deep desire to live in the minority of people who are in the “upper class,” but struggle with feeling worthy of it, let me tell you now – you are as worthy as anyone who is smart enough to have earned their way to the top. What that means is if you work hard and smart enough to get that successful and wealthy, you are worthy of that status! They call it “privileged,” but, in actualy, you’ve simply earned it. If you want a shortcut to the “upper class,” read this.

So, Now What?

Now breathe. Deeply. Success comes in stages. You’ll always have the capacity to improve and strive for yet another success. When you’re done breathing, look at the thing you want most right now. Break it down and focus on two things you can do today. And then just be (your own unique) awesome!

Why Making Money is Not Enough to Feel that You’ve “Made It”

Many of us desire to increase our income for a variety of reasons, but, I would say that most of us don’t understand fully what it is to be successful in life, outside of learning how to be as loving as we can be to all the people God has put in our lives.

In the material world, it is materials that sum up success. A lot of money can help you have that, but, what good is having a lot of stuff, if you can’t enjoy your stuff and your life with your peers? This is the secret behind the higher class. They know that it’s not their stuff that brings them happiness, but, living their life interacting with and experiencing the fruits of their labor with others who have worked hard and smart to achieve this level of income and, yes, status.

luxury designer goods, jewelry, designer watches, designer high fashion

If you make a lot of money, but, hide in your big house, in one room, behind a computer screen, or, your best friends are your pets and you never get out of your pajamas, would you think this is a formula for satisfaction of life? I dare say, “no.” I would rather have far less material things and have a happy life, going out, eating exotic foods in new restaurants, going to the show, exploring, traveling, and, looking fantastic, every day!

Have you ever wondered why the people who dress immaculately and drive beautiful cars and hang out with the elite seem so carefree? It’s not because of their money… it’s because they are enjoying their lives and feeling secure enough that they can spend their money without paranoia or fear of how anyone may perceive them and their chosen lifestyle. People who are concerned with how they are judged can never enter the world of the “rich and famous.” Being overly humble in the material world is overrated and only gets you a life of backed up bills and working 4 jobs and hopelessness.

It’s not that we shouldn’t care for those who have less… because, they, indeed sometimes don’t have enough to cover their needs, and being one who donates a lot to charity is the sign of a person who doesn’t see themselves as superior, but, simply as blessed enough with overflow to help others. And, this I firmly believe – share, share, share your wealth, but also spend it, live it, BE it. You can’t take it with you, so, enjoy!

5 Things to Look For When Choosing an MLM

Many people have this skepticism about the Industry NETWORK MARKETING also known as MLM or Home Based business and by so doing they confuse it with a PYRAMID SCHEME.

Now the question is why is this so? And the answer is simple – Because they have decided to remain ignorant to recognize the differences between the two. They have decided not to do their due diligence by researching via the web to become properly informed.

So once one has decided to give network marketing a try, the next step is to determine which are the best companies to consider. Most people ignore one or more of the 5 critical keys in choosing a network marketing company or opportunity and ask themselves why they failed to make profits or achieve financial freedom.

You may be inclined to join the next company that comes along introduced by someone close to you, but I strongly suggest that YOU DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH BEFORE you get involved to save you time, money, and possible heartache.

Basically here are the top 5 things to look for in a network marketing company:

Although it’s true that you create your own success, it makes perfect sense to work with a company that will still be around after you’ve built a huge group and invested multiple heads, right?

See if the company you’re joining is; (a) financially stable and has been around for some time. I’d say at least 5 years so your group-building efforts will not go to waste.

Too many network marketing companies in the World have come and gone over the years. Aren’t you wondering why? One reason may be due to legal problems (because they’re illegal!?) and another reason may be the owners just couldn’t keep the business running, just like traditional businesses.

A high percentage of network marketing companies fold within the first 5 years. You don’t want to be in those distributors’ positions when that happens.

I would also look into the; (b) experience of the owners and management team.

Who are they? What’s their mission? Are they people with INTEGRITY? What’s their track record, past experience?

Look into the heart of the company to learn if it’s really interested in educating YOU to be a business leader and not just another recruiter. It will take more than listening to a 2-hour sales pitch and looking at brochures. You have to get off your couch and attend training functions and events to get to know the leaders.

Check also if the company has (c) international or global presence. Even though you have no plans of going international today, you cannot control the growth of your network in the future.

If your downline pursues a career abroad, for example, he/she can still continue the business IF your network marketing company has an office or strong presence in that other country.

Compensation plans vary from one network marketing company to another. Review the compensation plan and make sure that you are comfortable with how company pays out their commissions. Commissions must be paid on the sale of products, not on membership fees.

A good question to ask yourself would be, “Can I still make money if my network just consumes the products and does not recruit anybody?” Answer should be “YES;” otherwise, run away as fast as you can!

Products must be of high value and preferably with a money-back guarantee or outstanding warranty.

Are the products consumable? Since the business is about long-lasting residual income, the products have to be consumable and of high quality. This leads to repeat purchases by customers, month after month and year after year. It’s not just about making a one-time sale or commission.

Check also if the products are patented and exclusive to the company. There are very good imitators out there. You don’t want to see your products displayed at department stores or at any point, do you?

Consumers MUST also have a compelling reason to buy from your network marketing company, not just to participate in the money-making plan. For example, ask yourself, “Do people need to buy phone cards from me without joining the compensation plan?” Answer would be “No,” because people can buy the same phone cards in stores.

If product being sold has no real world VALUE and/or is overpriced, the company is more likely a pyramiding scheme, wolves in sheep’s clothing so to speak. Beware!

Needless to say, you have to use the products. These should be products that you are comfortable sharing with close friends and family.

This is my favorite part in network marketing – free education!

ROBERT KIYOSAKI wrote in his book The Business School that the number one hidden value of network marketing is the life-changing business education.

Unlike in formal business schools where instructors do not necessarily have businesses of their own, network marketing is the best free business school where trainers actually talk of their real-life experience.

Network marketing leaders teach success attitudes, leadership, people skills, overcoming fears, goal-setting, communication skills, money skills, and the like.

See if your prospective company provides network marketing training for members or you might be left out in the cold.

Last but not least, you are going to want to check into the marketing system of the company or group that you are joining. This is VERY important.

You may be surprised to know that one of the fastest ways to fail at network marketing is to try to recruit your friends and family. Why? Didn’t you notice that most network marketers quit after talking to their best friends and family?

Despite the attrition due to this, recruiting friends and family is still the main marketing tactic taught by most network marketers World wide.

There is a much better and more FUN way to attract people who are already looking for what you have to offer. Thanks to the Internet, network marketing is much easier than it used to be.

If your company is nationwide or worldwide, then your market is really big. You can reach this very wide audience ONLY if you’re using the Internet. Check to see if your company is adjusting with different marketing trends in the network marketing business.

Use ALL 5 key areas objectively to evaluate a network marketing company or opportunity you’re about to join (or are already involved with). These will greatly enhance your chances for long-term success. If you ignore any one of them, you may just be asking for trouble.

The MLM that I chose to work with has all 5 of these and others not mentioned here. It’s one of the highest rated MLM’s in the world, and is now in over 165 countries. It’s customer base is wealthy and crave these high end products of inestimable value that often doesn’t fade. This MLM has created many millionaires who have earned this money faster than in just about any other MLM. This MLM is called GWT, which stands for Global Wealth Trade. 7 Things to Make 2017 Better than 2016

As Philip James Bailey put it beautifully in his poem, “We live in deeds, not years; in thoughts, not breaths; In feelings, not in figures on a dial.” It is crucial that we understand that we should set out to achieve something in our limited time, or we might as well not do anything at all. If you are still undecided on what you want to achieve in this new year, you might want to take a look at the following ideas!

1. Focus on your family, your friends instead of your phone.

How much time has passed since you peered down to that glimmering, colourful layer of glass? How long has it been since you take a proper look at your father as he slowly hobbles across the garden, instead of walking straight and brisk as he has always done? When is the last time you took your significant other on a date, without replying to those seemingly endless amount of texts?

Perhaps it is time. Time to put the phone down, give your mother a hand as she prepares dinner, laugh along with your friends and give your kids a hug and your wife a kiss.

2. Leave or set clear boundaries for the toxic people and manipulators around you.

We have probably all been guilt-tripped before, coerced by the dejected tone of lines like this: “Oh sure, go ahead, I’ll just cope with this all by myself. It’s not like I comforted you two years ago for a whole month after your breakup.” We are aware of how these people always seem to have a problem with everything, blaming the world for not giving them what they want. Then they frame it in a way where you are the only person who would see the truth together with them and support each other.

These people are toxic, because they never see past themselves. They devour your attention and care, leaving you with little energy to care and fend for yourselves. Take the initiative and cut them from your life. If they are close to you, then set up clear boundaries to specify what kind of behavior you would tolerate.

3. Pack for a trip and travel alone.

Staying in a place for too long turns a person stagnant. Our ideas, mindset become compressed into the small box we call “home”. The benefits travelling offer are enormous – but most importantly, to travel is to escape from the familiar, and acquire new eyes and perspectives. It is to see the same things in a different light, and provoke curiosity even upon seeing the most mundane things. Once we have seen different cultures, practices and people, it frees us of the mould we have fitted ourselves into and makes us a better person.

4. Spend time with people who are there for you.

How many ups and downs have you experienced this year? How many times have you been thankful for having a shoulder to lean on, or someone to hold you and tell you “it’s okay”?

Human beings may be social creatures and have higher intelligence than other animals, yet even we do not offer our help and care to everyone. Therefore, cherish the ones who made time for you, took care of you, and treated you with love and make time for them as well. After all, if they supported you at your worst – they deserve you at your best.

5. Face your negativities and let them go.

From a tender young age, we were taught to suppress our negative emotions – namely anger, envy, fear, sorrow, and so on. We were told that showing these emotions present a side that people dislike.

However, for many of us who watched Inside Out, it might be easier to comprehend that we need a balance of emotions for us to function normally as human beings. One can only be peaceful with oneself when he/she understands the roots of his/her negativities – and allow them to dissipate in the wind.

6. Focus on yourself.

There is nothing more important than living for yourself. To quote Dr. Seuss, “Today you are You, that is truer than true.” There is no one in your life that’s more important than your own self. Live because you are a miracle for yourself, and for others. Live for your well being, your happiness, and stop comparing your life with others.

7. Set your goals, take the first step, and keep on moving.

Too many of us enjoy the thrill of writing down new goals but fail to follow up on them one that period of determination has passed. As a result, plans are never achieved, diets never completed, gym time never increased.

But not all hope is lost! The trick is to make these goals reachable, and ensure you are motivated to complete them every day. 2017 – Make it to True Prosperity, or Remain in Mediocrity?

This will be short…

Every year, we are given a psychological and sociological “fresh start,” whereby new opportunities seem somehow more achievable. Why not take advantage of this chance to do something TRULY different? Think about it for a while. What would make you truly feel like that you have gone up a rung on the ladder of success?

For one, there are different types of goals – personal and professional. Of course, we should all try to love our partners and family members more, and, as easy a concept that is to just “say,” it’s, as we all know, a bit harder to actually, “do,” sometimes, yet, it remains completely in our control.

What about professional? Success is also completely in our control and it’s not just about making money. It’s about feeling like you are like the King of the Jungle. Why is it that lions are always depicted as strong and fearless and why is it that we all want to be like lions? Because, success is also about conquering our biggest fears, even more so than making more money.

So many people are flocking to internet marketing because they can hide behind their computers and use automated virtual systems of presentation and communication that, basically, requires no courage, whatsoever. What does that leave us with? A bunch of scared mice hiding in their home office with a lot of money. Is this success? NO.

Do something totally different. Act like a lion! Be a lion! Be a conqueror! And, be bold enough to join the elite crowd who don’t just look fantastic and drive fantastic homes and live in fantastic homes, but, also spend time with other fantastic people, out in the world, not behind their computers. What can be more fun that actually rubbing shoulders with exciting and amazing people? Well, not much. Develop A Prosperity Consciousness by Brian Tracy

The starting point of all riches is the development of a prosperity consciousness.

You must become a financial success in your thinking long before you achieve it in your reality. Both poverty and riches are the result of a state of mind, and the most important single step you ever take on the road to wealth and financial independence is the decision to change your thinking, to impress into your mind an unshakable belief that you can and will achieve your financial goals. This must happen before anything else happens.

Think And Grow Rich
When I was growing up, I was fascinated by stories of successful men and women and how they made and lost their fortunes, and then made them over again. I read about the importance of a prosperity consciousness in the book, Think And Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill, several times. But I never fully understood what it meant until about five years ago. Then it hit me and I’ve never been quite the same since. Every aspect of my life has improved dramatically, especially in the area of accumulating wealth, since I finally understood what is meant by a prosperity consciousness.

Two Great Discoveries
Here are two of the most exciting principles ever discovered in the long search by mankind for the secrets of health, happiness and great personal wealth.

All Causation is Mental
The first principle is this. All causation is mental. That means that everything that you are or ever will be will be a result of how you use your mind. You are merely a mind with a body to carry it around with. The entire man made world that you see is simply an expression of thought. Your entire life is an expression of your own thinking. And since the quality of your thinking determines the quality of your life, if you improve the quality of your thinking, you must, you will, inevitably improve the quality of your life.

Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life and see results!

The Law of Expectations
The second principle is what we call the law of expectations. This law says that whatever you expect with confidence, positive or negative, becomes your reality. If you confidently expect to succeed, if you confidently expect to learn something from every experience, if you confidently expect to become wealthy as a result of applying your talents and abilities to your opportunities and you maintain that attitude of confident expectations long enough, it will become your reality. It will give you a positive optimistic cheerful attitude that will cause people to want to help you, and will cause things to happen the way you want them to happen.

Action Exercises
Here are two things you can do immediately to practice these principles in your day to day life:

First, start thinking today in a positive, optimistic, confident way about personal and financial success. Continually imagine what differences it would make in your life if you were financially independent. This is the starting point of developing a prosperity consciousness.

Second, develop your own attitude of positive expectations. Look for the good in every situation. Look for the valuable lesson in every setback or difficulty. Be positive and cheerful about everything that happens and you will be amazed at the difference it makes in your life.

Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life
